1987 -1994

 

Lieutenant Steven G. Xiarhos

Steven Xiarhos went by the handle “Officer X” when he started at D-Y in 1987 as its first school resource officer.  He has served the Yarmouth Police Department since 1979 and has held many positions.  He has served as a Reserve Officer, Patrol Officer, Detective, Youth Services Officer and Patrol Sergeant before being promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and Day Watch Commander in June of 2000.  In November of 2006 Lt. Xiarhos was appointed and is currently serving as Patrol Force Commander.

1994 - 1998

 

Officer Craig Stevenson

Officer Stevenson was the first Dennis Police officer to serve as school resource officer at D-Y, prompting the moniker “D-Y P.D.” to be coined in 1994.  He left D-Y to join the Cape Cod Drug Task Force where he served for several years as a detective. Since 1996 Officer Stevenson has been assigned as the Family Services Officer.  He works closely with the Victim Services Coordinator and other members of the department to provide oversight and follow-up on domestic investigations and incidents impacting the elderly and disabled.

1998 - 2001

Detective Garvin Kelley

Garvin Kelley replaced Craig Stevenson as the second Dennis Police officer assigned to D-Y.  Garvin Kelley now serves as a detective investigating criminal cases full time.

 

2001 - Now

 

Officer Greg Farnkoff

Officer Farnkoff began his law enforcement career in the United States Army as a military policeman.  He served oversees in what was then West Germany.  He served as a police officer in his hometown of Wilmington, Massachusetts for five years before joining the Dennis Police in 1991.  “Officer Greg” splits his time between D-Y High School and Wixon Middle School . He is also the Juvenile Officer and Juvenile Court Prosecutor as well as a firearms instructor and department armorer.

 

1994 - Now

 

Officer Nick Pasquarosa

“Officer Nick” began his police career at Boston Collage as an auxiliary police officer shortly after he received an honorable discharge from the United States Army in 1987.  He joined the Yarmouth Police in 1987 as a Summer Reserve Officer and was appointed a full-time Patrol Officer in September of that same year.  Since 1994 he has served as D-Y’s school resource officer.  In addition “Officer Nick” is also a firearm and defensive tactics instructor, co-director of the Citizen Police Academy, Rape Aggression Defense instructor, and Staff Instructor with the Cape Cod Regional Law Enforcement Council.
