Our Volunteer In Policing program provides
an invaluable level of support to our police department.
Our VIPs allow our
law enforcement officers to focus on policing and enforcement by
assisting our department in the following duties:
Handicap parking enforcement
Assist in our citizen police academies
Help with public relations
Join neighborhood watch
Enter data for crime analysis and reporting
Compile statistical data for special operations and projects
Assist in reception area of police headquarters by answering citizen
inquiries, directing citizens to the proper police unit, and
performing routine administrative tasks
Distribute information on police services
Assist in special events such as our annual Seaside Festival and
Fourth of July Fireworks
Provide Chaplin Services
Assist with Cruiser Maintenance
